Join us in preserving our island. Puget Sound is the crown jewel of Washington State. Its beauty promotes tourism, its bounty feeds us, and its broad paths bring goods and jobs. This vital asset with its incredible wealth of natural wonder faces a two-pronged threat. On one hand pollution threatens habitat; on the other hand, natural defenses, such as wetlands and watersheds are decimated.
The Swan Lake watershed preservation group is dedicated to preserving and restoring this watershed to its maximum natural potential.
This site is for you.We hope you will find this site useful. If you have ideas for improvement or suggestions for content, we want to hear from you. The Contact Us page includes both email and postal contact information.

Where is Swan Lake? At the northern end of Whidbey Island just south of Joseph Whidbey State Park and West of Oak Harbor.

What We Do Our group monitors the environment, actively participates to protect endangered habitat, advocates for watershed preservation, and estuary restoration. We are currently involved in a trial habitat restoration grant to support the Taylor's checkerspot butterfly.
